BPL Global Named Green Technology Tech 50 Award Winner

BPL Global, a Tech 50 Awards finalist, named winner of the Green Technology category by the Pittsburgh Technology Council 

PITTSBURGH, PA – October 20, 2008 – BPL Global^®, Ltd. (BPLG), a smart grid technology company dedicated to leading the transformation of energy efficiency and reliability, gains recognition by the Pittsburgh Technology Council as the winner of the Green Technology category. BPLG, earlier named one of the top 50 companies in southwestern Pennsylvania’s technology sector, earned the additional distinction as one of seven categories winners.

The Pittsburgh Technology Council’s annual Tech 50 Awards recognize southwestern Pennsylvania’s highest-achieving, most revolutionary members of the technology sector, the cream of the crop. Tech 50 companies are pioneering, compelling businesses with a knack for excellence. Companies in the Green Technology category were evaluated based on revenue growth and technology that improves operations, increases efficiency and promotes sustainability while reducing energy consumption, waste, pollution and operational costs.
