Energy Asset Management Equipment

BPL Global provides energy asset management equipment that connects hundreds of points in remote energy systems, such as distributed generation, energy storage and renewable energy, back to the operations center, service teams and engineering groups. We have an integrated system for fast and simple remote visualization of any device controller, field instrumentation or distributed control system, a protocol conversion device, an Ethernet backbone for connectivity between the remote system and the centralized operation and the HM; a human machine interface. Our deep understanding of complex protective schemes and, at the same time, utility and general industrial SCADA requirements allows us to effectively disseminating data to the right departments – for the right applications. Energy asset management improves electric service reliability while reducing operations and maintenance costs.

hmi HMI – Human Machine Interface

The Human Machine Interface (HMI) is the window into the remote energy asset. The HMI is comprised of a hierarchy of screens which allows operator to view the system with increasing levels of detail using real-time data. A variety of screens are available in the HMI including Alarm Annunciator, Data Trending, Reporting, Control Faceplate screens.

CENTRYWCC – Web Communication Controller

The WCC enables a data connection between remote energy systems and a central operations center. The WCC is a 586-grade platform with dual LAN ports. It communicates with local controllers via two RS-232 and two isolated RS-232 / 422 / 485 ports and can support a wide array of communication protocols. It connects with local meters and instruments via 16-channel isolated digital I/O and timer/counter. The WCC is infinitely expandable to capture the balance of plant instrumentation through the use of the CENTRYPIA module.

The WCC contains an embedded VPN client; no expense or complexity of VPN hardware. The WCC communicates with the operations center via a standard XML communication protocol that is open and conforms with IEEE 1547.3.
