The Temperature Monitor System (TMS), is an integrated monitor and
control device that measures transformer oil temperature and actual load
current in order to calculate the Winding Hot Spot (WHS) of a power transformer. The calculated WHS and cooling system control is based upon standard calculations as per the IEEE C57.90. Additional features include the control of multistage Fan/Pump cooling system and provide differential temperature between the Main Transformer Tank and LTC Tank.
The TMS is rugged, fully electronic, field configurable and designed to mount in the existing gauge locations and within or on the transformer control cabinet. The design is substation hardened and fully stress tested to provide many years of trouble free services in the harshest environments and conditions. A large alphanumeric display continually indicates the measured and calculated parameters. All monitored data for each parameter is time stamped and stored in non-volatile memory. All data and operational settings can be checked and reset by an operator from the front panel or through the serial communications channels.
