Transformer Advisory Service The process of evaluating the probable condition of an individual asset, compared to all other assets on the system, is often controlled through a three-stage condition assessment process. These stages of evaluations or assessments can be performed on a single transformer or the entire fleet of transformers, depending on the level of analysis required. First, Stage 1 (history) condition assessment is performed. Based on the results, recommendations are offered to proceed to the next stage and perform specific preventative maintenance. Stage 2 (physical) assessments generate an inspection report to evaluate all external elements of the transformer system. Stage 3 (internal) assessments perform additional internal visual inspections and maintenance on other devices as a recommendation to perform additional tests as required with the transformer de-energized. |
